Lancashire is also host to The Collaborative Technology Access Programme providing businesses access to facilities and expertise located in the Chemistry Department at Lancaster University.

Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone sits on Britain’s Energy Coast and includes
a fully operational runway of 6,130 feet.
The UK is a world leader in offshore wind and Britain’s Energy Coast contains 11.5% of the UK’s wind power sites and has capacity to generate 24% of the wind power in the UK. There is also huge potential for tidal energy generation from Morecambe Bay.
Both nuclear and offshore wind generation have capacity to continue developing and creating further opportunities for the region.
